“Ninatamani kuendelea na masomo lakini nashindwa kutokana na hali halisi ya maisha yangu na wazazi wangu.
Nina umri wa miaka 14, baba yangu mzazi alishafariki na mama yangu aliolewa na mwanaume mwingine. Mume wa mama yangu, yaani baba yangu anayenilea sasa amekuwa akinitesa japo kama hupitii ninachopitia huwezi kuamini kama ananitesa. Mbele za watu anaonekana kutujali mimi na mama lakini sivyo ilivyo katika maisha halisi tunayoishi nyumbani kama familia.
Mama yangu amekuwa dhaifu kiafya kwa muda wa miaka miwili sasa. Anasumbuliwa na mgongo kutokana na kupigwa na baba. Mimi ndiye nimekuwa nikimtunza mama hasa nyakati za mchana ambapo baba anakuwa amekwenda shambani.
Nimeshavunja ungo. Nikiwa katika siku zangu huwa ninapata maumivu makali sana ya tumbo, mgongo, kiuno na kichwa. Katika kipindi kama hiki, siwezi kuvuka kizingiti cha mlango kwa sababu damu inachuruzika sana na sina kitu cha kuweka ili isipitilize.
Nguo zangu zimechakaa zote hadi sasa navaa nguo za shule hata ninapokuwa nyumbani nikimuuguza mama.
Mimi ndiye nafanya kila kazi nyumbani. Naamka saa kumi na moja asubuhi ili nikateke maji, nirudi nichanje kuni, nisafishe uwanda wa nyumba, niandae kifungua kinywa. Nimuogeshe na kuhakikisha amekula vizuri.
Nikitaka chochote kutoka kwa baba hata kama ni kwa ajili ya chakula anasema ni lazima nilipie. Nikimwambia sina hela anafanya tendo la ndoa na mimi kwanza ndipo anipe ninachohitaji. Wakati mwingine ananifanyia hivyo na asinipe ninachohitaji. Mara nyingi ananiambia inabidi nimsaidie mama yangu kwani alimuoa kwa ajili hiyo. Sijawahi kumwambia mama kwani najua ataumia sana. Naona kabisa maisha yangu yanavyopotea.
Nakushukuru sana nimeongea na wewe. Naomba unisaidie mama yangu apone. Akipona nitafurahi sana. Mama akipona najua nitarudi shule. Lakini pia naomba unisaidie nipate vitambaa vya kuweka nikiwa kwenye siku zangu.”
